Title: OT: The Witcher Adventure Editor Competition
Post by: BenWH on May 29, 2008, 02:23:11 PM
On May 23, 2008 CD Projekt Red began the first stage of The Witcher Adventure Editor contest for everyone interested in making new adventures for The Witcher game. The contest will have 5 separate stages (each stage will last 2 weeks) which will form the integral whole.

The aim of the contest will be to solve 5 tasks which will be released in stages every 2 weeks. You will be obligated to obey basic rules and guidelines. In stage one they will focus on creating the main plot.

The best project chosen in every stage of the contest will be rewarded. At the end (after stage 5) they will also reward the best 3 overall projects. They will also publish solution templates after each stage to help those wannabe designers get to work!

You can submit your ideas to community@thewitcher.com.

It looks like very easy for a good experienced nwn modder when I saw the rules... don't you think? A nwn builder has a lot of adventage on such a contest :)

I reckon so. I had a look at the editor and found it not that disimilar to NWN2's in a lot of ways, though perhaps a bit easier for a first timer to find their way around.

In any event, stage 1 of the competition is just submitting a plot proposal - no need to even open the toolset, so I reckon it's a good opportunity for budding writers & designers to get a credit against their names.
