It seems my ceaseless plugging of Sir Elric's NWN1 Persistent World, City of Melnibone, which I am hopelessly addicted to, has finally worked -- I had the pleasure of finding Maddyanne of Citadel fame online yesterday evening! We partied it up and had a lovely time. All the rest of you NWN1'ers should come play, too. We're only level 2, so you don't even have much catching up to do... ;)
It was lots of fun. And I'll play there again, for certain. :) Though some time Hugie should come play on Harvest Moon with me, too. (There's my PW plug.)
I never played PnP, so the whole PW experience has been very new to me.

I've never played PnP either (NWN1 was my first real RPG -- never did BG or PS:T or anything like that), but it's super low-power and ultra-low leveling speed, so I assume it's pretty close to capturing that spirit. I'll try Harvest Moon for sure!
*slightly embarressed* I couldn't actually find either one of those when I went in a little while ago. Where do I find them?
City of Melnibone is in the category PW Story. Harvest Moon, you need to request to become a member of the guild and get the password and such.

For HM, they're very nice. And I'd love to play with you there. It's a bit bewildering at first with no one else to give you a bit of a start.
I found the folks at City of Melnbone to be very helpful to a beginner, too.
It's no haks and HM has a mess of them, but, then, we're very into scenery.
They are both not rapid leveling sorts of places, which I really like. You need to be ready to play your PC from character creation on.
