Title: Another Chinese Lunar year
Post by: Starlight on February 13, 2010, 09:00:17 PM
Hi all,

Sorry for the lack of activities on the second half of last year. I have a mixed bag of feelings toward the last year. I continue to develop my interest in arts, losing the job on the last November, release of DA:O, etc. It just like my mind have been shattered into pieces and I have to glue them back slowly one by one.  :-[

Now, there are already some changes happened this year. I have found a new job though it is just a one-year-contract. At least I can gain a bit cash back. The new job location is quite far and I need to get up on 6:30 everyday to prepare myself. That means I have to sleep early and time for other hobbies are wearing thin. I have just passed the first week and I need to accomdate for the environment and fit-in. I wish I can squeeze more time for the hobbies.

I plan to study the Master of Fine Arts in this year. I'm busy to prepare for the application (15 photos of any forms of work like painting, photographies) and a 1000 word eassy. I wish they will consider my application.

And the release of DA:O has help me get pass many boring days and sleepless nights. It is a great game though with some glicthes (and thanks for the GLBT-friendly contents included). Bioware, you have my thanks!

I'm really sorry for almost lack of activities on the late-last year. I wish as the time passed things will get better and better. Then Starlight will once again haunts the AME!

And, Today is Chinese Lunar New Year, I wish all of you have a peaceful and happy life every after. 新年快樂! sin nian kuai le!

Happy New Year Starlight :D

I hope that your luck turns around very soon, and am sorry to hear you've had such bad luck. Still, I always think that good things must happen after bad things, because always there seems to be a balance in the universe ;)

Happy New Year, Starlight.

I am of the very firm opinion that everything happens for a reason - the good and the bad.  It's like the bad stuff comes around to test us - our strength, character, resolve, determination - so that the good stuff, when it does appear, is fully appreciated to the last.  I am confident the same will come through for you.   :D

Today is Yuan Xiao Jie - Chinese Lantern Festival - Full Moon - Chu Shi Wu - 15th day of the lunar new year

and boy I am glad it is the last night for fireworks!! which has been competing with my NWN sounds now for 2 weeks!!

and to think that when I was a kid fireworks were something special, but when you live in Beijing - oh man.. people are black powder crazy here and every night there are booms and crackles and what have you..     even when there is snow and sleet outside like tonight!!

Again wishing everyone a Happy Tigger Year

I for one don't believe everything happens for a reason, nor do I believe in balance. I'd rather say chance rules it all for good or bad luck and the only thing we can count on is what we make out of it. No matter, whatever's your beliefs, I hope you can make the most out of your current situation. Happy new year !
