Title: Heath Ledger
Post by: Tybae on January 23, 2008, 05:21:16 PM
This is way off topic, but I think it needs to be said.  I heard about the news this morning that Heath Ledger was found dead in his New York apartment.  Too young and too much going for him for this tragedy to occur.  Not to mention he leaves behind his daughter.  Very tragic.  One of my favorite young actors.  When I heard he was going to be The Joker in The Dark Knight, I was sceptical to say the least, but after seeing the trailer, I couldn't wait.  He looked great as The Joker!  Too bad his life was ended way too short.  RIP Heath Ledger!

I agree.  I felt that he was an excellent actor and he seemed to be a decent person.  My thoughts go to his family, especially to his daughter.

I especially enjoyed "Knights Tale".  I thought mixing in the seventies music was very artistic and showed what might have been had people been allowed to be more than just peasants.

This truly is a loss to the acting community and the world.

I was on the other end of the spectrum.  I thought the music ruined A Kinght's Tale.  I thought the story was good, but the music ruined it.

Either way, all of us have lost a good one.  His death reminds me of when River Phoenix passed away.  Both way too young and had too much ahead of them.

I very much agree.  I felt shocked and saddened when I saw this in the paper this morning.  Just seemed to come out of the blue.  A terrible pity for his life to end so young, and very hard for his family and friends left behind.  :(

When his news reached HK, I'm really stunned. He is so young...even younger than me...I just wish his family will be well after that...
