My Question

It's not an official statement. As it looks like it now, next year's awards are probably safe (assuming we have enough members). Beyond that it would be an intention only. I don't want to get caught in that whole promise thing just yet...

Ben's right. For the record, that's the reason I prefaced my comments with the words, "My view is..." -- to emphasize that I was speaking for myself and my own intentions, and not officially for the Academy. Support from the community in the form of enough qualified volunteers to support the NWN1 awards cycles will obviously be crucial to continuing them. Otherwise, our intentions won't matter, even if the player and builder community remains robust. So if continuing the NWN1 awards next year is important to you, then please do consider volunteering to serve as an AME member for next year.

Having said all that, though, I would still like my personal commitment to trying to continue the NWN1 awards cycles to be on record, as well as my view of the NWN community (NWN1 and NWN2) as a unified one. That's a point that I've spoken out on a number of times on the Bioware forums in the past.

I don't think Adarian's comment would be taken as a promise. I think his comment serves to remind everyone that we do not consider ourselves to be in an authoritive role, but more likely a community service role.

Not so fast guys. 
I can't seem to get past installing the second disc, (half way through).
I keep getting an error message saying, check temp log for installation error. I've attached a picture of the log. You may have to enlarge it to read it.

I'm running Vista Ultimate 32bit sp1
System is an Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00GHZ
4.00 GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce 8800GT
All drivers are current.

Any ideas why I can't install, my DVD drive is working. I just installed and am playing Mass Effect.
Any and all advice appreciated.
