We haven't forgotten what has happened in Tiananmen Square...

To those who sacrificed in Tiananmen Square.
To those mothers who are being left behind.
To Democracy.
If everything goes wrong, go for the eyes!

Lore of Old

QuoteTo Democracy.
Democracy is an ideal worth fighting for. My quick search tells me it was a most tragic day. This is a good way to remember those who died.
And men created God at their image and likelihood.

I was 12 when the massacre in the square happened and remember it like it was yesterday.  I remember watching the tanks run over people, the soldiers shooting and beating people all because they expect more out of their government.  Not too much to ask.  I really hoped that the Olympics would open the Chinese governments eyes to better treatment, morality and basic human rights, but things like banning twitter and other social networking sites has further proved the paranoia of the Chinese government.  It will be a glorious day when the Chinese finally live up to their namesake, The People's Republic of China.

Chinese government keep telling people that the issue is concluded: the students are mobs and they have to use the army in order to maintain the stability of the country. If what they say is true, they should stay strong to their reason. Instead, they keep banning international site like facebook, flickr, web site of news letter (Including those in Hong Kong), making warnings to the reporters, filtering(or banning) every china's web site including words 六四 (In English: Six Four, i.e. 4th of June) or even wordings including just 六 (six) and 四 (four). What are they afraid of? Their lies being exposed?

Sadly, some people, including our chief executive in HKSAR, making conscienceless statements like with the economy of china improved, the stability(and earning money) is more important than other issues and His opinion can represent the general point of view of Hong Kong people in order to please the mainland government. The text books are not talking about the massacre and even some students are indifferent to, misunderstand or even being mislead about the issues.

It is a relieve that there are still have around 150,000 people to join the memorial gathering tonight to protest about recovering the truth and crying for Democracy. *sigh* The photos are taken during the gathering tonight.
