News: IRC chat with NWN winners - 20th September

Hello all.  We at the AME are planning on a GDA winner IRC chat on Saturday September 20 for the NWN1 Award Winners.  The chat will be at 9am Pacific Time (GMT -7).  Anyone is invited, but we will be showcasing the winners of the 2007 Golden Dragon Awards for NWN2.  The chat will be on live.neverwinterconnections.com in #AME.

Public Room: #AME

use any IRC Client, join the server live.neverwinterconnections.com

Steps to get into the IRC channel:
1) Download mIRC (or HydraIRC which I use)
2) Go to options, then connect, then server
3) click add, fill in Description and Group as AME, and server as live.neverwinterconnections.com
4) Log onto server, then join channel ame

To log in from the general window, type /j ame

Did one of us get the dates for the NWN1 and NWN2 chats switched? I thought we had arranged the NWN1 Chat for the 13th, and the NWN2 Chat for the 20th. That's how I have it on my calendar.

The switching of dates will stand.  I got the dates mixed up and it's too late to change them now.  I didn't notice unitl it was too late.

Yes, according to Tybae's post. He organized the chats so it's his call. (The discussion thread with the proposed dates on the AME private forums had them the other way around, so some of our membership got different information than what I assume was worked out with the invitees.)

Wouldn't it be great if we had a "chat" button on this forum, like the tabs on top for search and stuff.
I've seen it on other forums.

That suggestion has been made before.  I don't know what it would take to put a shoutbox on our site, but it would be kinda neat.  The only disadvantage is that it only holds so many lines before it goes to the archives and the logs are difficult to read.  I would be in favor of adding one here, but it wouldn't work for an IRC chat like we have had in the past.
