Update on NWN2 finalists

Well the tallying continues and we'll soon be able to let a little bit of news on the finalists out. We've had a lot of nominations this year, and in most categories only 3 of those get to the finals. Quite a lot of 'big name' nominations have bitten the dust along the way in several categories, so it promises to be an interesting set of finalists...

Will there also be NWN1 awards in 2007? I might have a suggestion if it's not already too late

Yes there will be those as well.  We decided to break them up doing NWN2 first just because having both awards at the same time would be too overwhelming and too much for people to play/use/review/etc. at once.

OK, then may I propose Lance Botelle's "overriding / empty hak" technique in the Community Contribution category. This method allows builders to update modules without the need for players to restart the module from the beginning. Lance used that method in his module "SoulShaker" and I read it is also being used in "Citadel".

Definately a good suggestion.  Thanks for your input.
