Spammers

Lately, we have had several spammers.  We get about 5-10 new spam accounts per day.  I feel the need to reiterate our spam policy. 

If you spam here, your post/topic will be deleted and your account will be banned on the first offense.   We will not tolerate spammers here.  Consider yourself warned! 

Legitimate members/users - If you see spam or see a registered user who's account is suspect, please report it to a moderator/admin and it will be dealt with accordingly.  I hate to have to resort to this, but it has really gone too far.

What? You're giving a warning? I'm just banning email, IP, account, the lot, straight away. Anyone who registers and does not come back online again is kicked immediately by me.

I'm also talking to the IGN guys to see if they can improve the protection.

Ok, I'm banning obvious Spam accounts right off the bat.  The more inconspicuous ones are getting banned after posting spam.
