AMe LogoYesterday we had the chat session with the finalists of the NWN1 Golden Dragon awards. It was a great session with around 30 people joining, including many of the nominees. Tybae held the whip this time, keeping folks in line as we ran through a whole range of community questions to the nominees…

Luckily, if you missed it, we have the whole log here, including a bit of the after-chat free-for-all which continued on for several hours…

We have also posted up AME, a look under the hood part V, which answers some more of the questions asked of AME by community members here on our forums.

NWN Patch 1.69 is up!

The final patch for Neverwinter Nights is here – you can get it through the automatic updater or via http://nwn.bioware.com/ . The new patch is a giant one, and includes a bunch of fixes and technical improvements, but best of all, includes content from the premium modules Infinite Dungeons (new boss monsters), Pirates of the Sword Coast (new creatures and tilesets) and Wyvern Crown of Cormyr (New creatures, feats, prestige class, models, armour, cloaks and tilesets). The highlights are definitely the inclusion of the vast TNO rural/castle tilset, the wonderful Barrows and Fort Interior tilesets, and of course, lots and lots of horses.

Check it out!

Also, don’t forget to drop into the AME IRC channel for the chat with Golden Dragon nominees (see previous post)… we have a big attendance!

AME will be conducting another IRC chat, on the 12th of July. You’ll be able to ask your questions of some of the finalist authors of the 2007 NWN awards (and of course some of the AME panel too, who will also take questions)

Time: 4pm GMT, 12 noon EST
Date: Saturday 12th July
Channel: AME (hosted on the live.neverwinterconnections.com server)

AME, a Look under the Hood, Part IV

Adventure AwardDebut Author AwardToday we caught up with Fester Pot, and asked him about how he felt about being a double Golden Dragon winner. He talks about his module Almraiven, and the sequel, which enters beta testing this week. Check it out!

For fun, we also posted a poll on your favourite 2006 Golden Dragon module. See if everyone else agrees with your choice too!

More insights from inside the AME

AMe Logo

Just in time for the weekend, we have another eclectic collection of questions and answers from the AME panel, in the third in our series; a look under the hood. Why not send us your questions too, so we can put the AME panel to the test!

The poll on the Vault continues to run, and it seems the most popular category is the Best Roleplaying Module – but you still have time to vote, and perhaps most importantly, you can do it here too on the AME forums.

In other news, we are pleased to welcome QSW back to the team, after a short hiatus.

Scoop!

Our very own Qk got something of a scoop, with the exclusive news on the NWN2 expansion pack; Storm of Zehir. Despite the rather odd name, this expansion looks like it has some pretty interesting innovations.

You can listen to the interview live over on NWNPodcast, attached to episode 59 (another good episode featuring Maerduin, author of Harp & Chrysanthemum, MotY winner and a candidate for several Golden Dragons).

Or if you’re a Spanish speaker, head over for the original at http://www.neverwinteros.com/

More insights from the Academy…

AMe Logo We continue our peak inside the Academy for Modding Excellence with a few more questions to some of the panel members, in AME: A look under the hood, part II. If you’ve got nothing better to do while waiting for the imminent release of the NWN2 award winners, this is as good a way to pass the time as any! 😉
